Casale Cardini

Casale Cardini, located at Via della Selce, 44 in Foiano della Chiana (AR), was born out of an entrepreneurial venture by the Bartoli family. The idea was to convert an ancient Tuscan farmhouse they owned into a luxury resort offering high-quality accommodation for tourists.

The accommodation business, which opened in June 2013, was an immediate hit with both foreign and Italian guests, becoming the second or third most popular accommodation provider in the area within a few months (Valdichiana, source: Booking.com).

The initial mission was to “become a leading accommodation provider in the Val di Chiana, specialising in family-run hospitality and capable of meeting guests’ needs in a timely and personalised manner, combining the joy of learning, respect for the environment and the discovery of the authenticity of the surrounding area.”

This ‘mission’ appears to have already been largely achieved, thanks to the resort’s extraordinary beauty and hospitality, as well as its strategic location close to major transport routes (the Rome–Florence motorway and the Siena–Perugia dual carriageway).

Casale Cardini enjoys an excellent location atop a hill overlooking the Valdichiana, situated 4–5 km from the Rome–Florence and Perugia–Siena motorways, meaning that Tuscany’s main cities can be reached in half an hour. Casale Cardini is just a few hundred metres from the medieval centre of Foiano della Chiana, a splendid village with Etruscan and Roman origins. Other activities available nearby include golf, horse riding and tennis courts, as well as wine and olive growers and beautiful hilltop towns.

The farmhouse boasts eight luxurious suites, furnished in traditional Tuscan style and equipped with all the latest amenities. There is a reception area with a lounge for welcoming our guests, and a larger, separate building serves as a breakfast and dining room and can be used by guests as a communal area.

This large private plot features several gardens, with a swimming pool overlooking the village and the hills; right next to it is a hot tub to warm you up in the evening and a terrace where you can enjoy a drink or dinner. You can leave your car in the secure private car park.
